First Devon and Cornwall bus bosses say they will seek to settle a pay dispute as soon as possible. The management statement came after 300 of First Group’s 673 employees took part in the ballot, with 85 per cent voting in favour of strike action this week. Chris Bainbridge, First’s service delivery director, said the company was after compromise. She said: “We will do what we need to do to make sure those talks go ahead to find an agreement.”
