Amey wins £450m Gloucestershire highways services delivery contract
Infrastructure services delivery company Amey has managed to secure a very lucrative contract for managing and maintaining Gloucestershire’s network of almost 10,000 km of roads, as well as providing highway improvement programmes and winter maintenance services, a news report in the local media has revealed.
The contract awarded by Gloucestershire County Council runs for an initial five-year term but can be extended for up to 11 years, and is worth between £130m and £450m.
Mel Ewell, chief executive for Amey, added: "I am delighted Amey has been announced preferred bidder by Gloucestershire County Council for this exciting new partnership."
