41 jobs salvaged as barrier company is bought out of administration
A total of forty-one jobs have been saved as Bristol-based Avon Barrier Company was bought out of administration, a news report in the local business media has revealed.
The company, a manufacturer of security barriers, road blockers, gates and bollards, collapsed back on 7 February 2014, with administrators from Deloitte being appointed in order to sort out its finances.
However, a sale has now been completed to new company Avon Barrier Corporation for an undisclosed sum, safeguarding all jobs, the new firm being backed by a group of unnamed British investors.
"It is great to have saved so many jobs as well as the business’s specialist skills in design and manufacture," said Paul Jeffrey, managing director of Avon Barrier Corporation.
"Fully capitalised, we are well positioned to supply customers with Avon Barrier’s market-leading products and services" he added.
