Dyson to create 3,000 new jobs as part of ambitious growth plans

Dyson, one of the best-known British engineering brands, has revealed some very ambitious growth plans, which also include creating 3,000 new jobs, a news report on the matter has revealed.

The first phase of the development will include an extension to the company’s Wiltshire headquarters, creating new laboratories to enable it to broaden its material science programme, expand its motor electronic research projects, experiment with noise-cancelling acoustic technologies, work on robotics projects and develop Dyson’s vision systems.

The new facility, combined with the creation of new working spaces in its existing facility, forms a core part of Dyson’s strategy to create 3,000 new science and engineering jobs in the UK over the coming years.

Founder Sir James Dyson said: "We are ambitious – and it’s through research and development that developments in technology come about.

"We’ll be looking for 3,000 engineers to deliver Dyson’s pipeline of technology, but we need 400 of Britain’s brightest right away – our ideas simply can’t wait."
