More than 100 jobs saved in Cornwall as part of estate deal

Over 100 jobs were saved at a four-star hotel and spa in Tregorrick, St Austell, after it was sold following the appointment of administrators, a recent news report in the local business media was able to reveal.

The The Cornwall Hotel & Spa Estate group, which includes CMR (Leisure) Ltd, The Cornwall Estate Management Company Ltd, The Cornwall Hotel & Spa Ltd, and The Cornwall Country Estate Ltd, ran into financial trouble and had to call administrators from Deloitte.

Following their appointment administrators completed the sale of the estate, which includes a 65-room hotel which was opened in 2010 and also provides holiday lodges on its grounds.

The new owners, Belle Isle Hotels (Cornwall) Management Ltd, decided to hire all 121 members of staff running the hotel.
