Dairy products manufacturer opens new eco-friendly factory, creates local jobs


A manufacturer of organic butters and spreads, has opened its new eco-friendly factory in Chacewater, creating multiple new jobs in the process, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

Carley’s of Cornwall has invested £1m in the renovation and extension of the former pumping station at Wheal Daniel to house its food processing factory. It has also created six additional jobs.

John Carley, owner of Carley’s of Cornwall, said: "Moving to the new premises from Truro has allowed Carley’s to increase turnover by 20 per cent and it now exports to 20 European countries."
