More than 140 jobs safeguarded at Dorset waste treatment and renewable energy specialist

More than 140 jobs have been safeguarded at a Dorset-headquartered waste treatment and renewable energy specialist after it was purchased out of administration, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to suggest.

The sale of New Earth Solutions Ltd to DM Opco Ltd has safeguarded 143 roles across the group’s five sites and headquarters in Verwood.

A spokesman for DM Opco said: "I look forward to working with the management team and all employees in order to re-establish the business and deliver strong future growth. New ownership has enabled the Group to strengthen its balance sheet and it is now fully funded."

New Earth Solutions currently manages about 450,000 tonnes of waste a year from sites in Avonmouth, West Malling, Wimborne, Leicester and Sharpness Docks.
