Local authority reveals plans for 37 new homes in Bath
A local authority has revealed plans to build 37 homes on a 3.5-acre plot of land located very close to the city centre, a news report in the local media has revealed.
The application, from Bath and North East Somerset Council, is made up of 26 homes at market prices with eight social rented properties and three intermediate properties.
The plans for the site off Englishcombe Lane have been drawn up by Boyes Rees Architects.
The design and access statement read: "The site is currently an undeveloped paddock, consisting of rough grassland and overgrown scrub.
"The proposal is to develop the site to provide 37 residential properties, 11 of the 37 units are allocated as affordable housing.
"The development will offer a mixture of detached, semi-detached and apartments. Six four-bedroom houses, 17 three-bedroom houses, four two-bedroom houses, four one-bedroom flats and six two-bedroom flats."
