Brewer creates 40 new jobs in Exeter

A brewer has started recruiting new staff for its future pub restaurant venture set to be located on Exeter’s quayside.

St Austell Brewery plans to invest £1.5m to transform a Victorian warehouse on Commercial Road and will create 40 jobs in the process, a news report in the local media was able to reveal. The new venue, set to be open in November, will comprise almost 4,000 sq ft of eating and drinking space, with the first floor renovated into five residential flats, which will be sub-let.

"We have had more than 50 applications already and are looking for bright, talented, hard-working people with excellent customer service skills to fill a range of jobs from bar and waiting staff to chefs and kitchen staff," said Ashley Rudd, retail operations manager at St Austell Brewery.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team that launches this unique new venue – it really will be an exciting place to work."
