Bristol fleet management firm doubles in size over 5 years
ALD Automotive, a fleet management firm based in Bristol, has managed to literally double its business over the past five years, a news report in the local business media has recently revealed.
The company employs more than 330 members of staff including 215 people at its Fishponds headquarters and reported an increase in turnover of over 19% back in 2013. Furthermore, the business also delivered more than 35,000 new vehicles across the UK over the period, which is 14 per cent higher than in 2012.
ALD Automotive stated that the growth was driven by a strong performance from its corporate business, with the firm holding on to existing accounts such as National Grid, Smith & Nephew and Chubb UTC, and winning new contracts with Volvo, HSS Group and Steria.
Mel Dawson, managing director of ALD Automotive, said: "We have doubled in size in less than five years, the result of a lot of hard work from a great team of people at ALD.
"It also reinforces the strength of our multi-channel sales strategy which has put us in a great position for continued growth in what remains a very tough market."
