Company to create 1,000 new jobs in Keynsham

Up to 1,000 new jobs could be created as part of a redevelopment scheme targeting the site of the former Cadbury’s factory in Keynsham, Somerset, a recent news report in the local business media was able to reveal.

Drybrook-based firm Freeman Retirement Living, a division of the M F Freeman group of companies, has earmarked the site for a major employment and care home scheme. The scheme will complete a new residential development by Taylor Wimpey, who’s also building 700 new homes on the same site.

"We are delighted to have secured this land for development. The project will result in provision of 120,000 sq ft of employment space and a care home," said Luke Freeman, joint-managing director for Freeman Retirement Living.
