Jobs saved after waste disposal company is bought out of administration

Up to 90 jobs have been saved as a Devon-headquartered waste disposal company was acquired out of administration by a counterpart based in the North West, a news report in the local business media has been able to suggest.

Bale Group was founded in 1998 and has its headquarters in Honiton, Devon, with number of other sites in the South West. It specialises in the collection, treatment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and has a large fleet of specialist vehicles.

The company reported pre-tax profit of £259,160 in the year ending 30 September 2014, on turnover of £10.2m but has recently struggled with cashflow following a sharp reduction in turnover.

Business recovery and rescue specialists Begbies Traynor were called in on 20 May 2016 and immediately following the appointment a sale of the company was completed for an undisclosed sum to Future Industrial Services Ltd, securing the jobs of all employees.

Future Industrial Services is headquartered in Liverpool and employs more than 200 staff with offices in the midlands, North East and Wales.
