Local electronics manufacturer starts apprenticeship program

An electronic components manufacturer based in Poole, Dorset, has launched a new programme supporting future engineers and hired its first-ever apprentices in the company’s 35 year history.

Alfatronix hired 18-year-old Samuel Cliffe and James Hoskins, 21, from Bournemouth and Poole College, a first in the company’s long history.

Keith Reilly, managing director of Alfatronix, said: "We are delighted to have Samuel and James on board with us at Alfatronix, and are confident that they will be a positive addition to our team.

"They have joined the company at a very important time, as we prepare to celebrate our 35th anniversary of manufacturing in Poole. It’s fitting that we should be looking to the engineers of the future, as we celebrate our anniversary milestone."
