Midas Group wins contract for building £11.6m Bristol green business park

The Midas Group was selected as the preferred contractor for a new £11.6m green business park set to be located in Filwood, South Bristol, a new report in the local business media has revealed.

The development is part of much larger plans led by the Homes and Communities Agency to regenerate Filwood. These plans include building up to 150 homes, creating a new public park, making land available to the council for development and securing outline planning permissions.

Upon completion, the business park is expected to provide 40,000 sq ft of workshops and offices, and support 350 jobs.

George Ferguson, mayor of Bristol, said: "This facility will support the development of environmental and low-carbon companies as well as encouraging employment, entrepreneurship and business start-up in the local area, where there is a very great need."
