MITIE wins £177m housing contract from Hammersmith & Fulham Council
Hammersmith & Fulham Council has just awarded a ten-year £177m housing contract to outsourcing company MITIE, a news report in the local Bristol business media has revealed.
As part of this deal, the Bristol-headquartered MITIE will be responsible for providing reactive repairs and carrying out planned maintenance works to more than 17,000 residential properties across west London. This is actually the second deal involving the two parties, as the council has also selected MITIE for a three-year £30m painting contract earlier this year.
Councillor Andrew Johnson, cabinet member for housing at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, said: "We look forward to a long and successful partnership with MITIE that will further improve standards and achieve the best value for money deal for residents possible."
Ruby McGregor-Smith, chief executive of MITIE, added: "We are extremely pleased to be further developing our relationship with Hammersmith & Fulham Council."
