Plans announced for new hospital in Exeter
A private healthcare company has announced plans to build a new 54-bed mental healthcare facility on the site of a school in Exeter, a news report has been able to reveal.
The facility planned by Cygnet Healthcare would support up to 67 full-time jobs. The application’s planning statement, put together by Leith Planning reads: "Cygnet Health Care have worked in close partnership with the NHS for many years and in particular Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Cygnet Health Care work under a formal NHS contract arrangement with Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
"They are keen that Cygnet Health Care are able to provide for current gaps in provision in the South West of England. The Devon Partnership Trust have agreed to collaborate to design a service that would be able to meet those identified needs.
"The proposed development will not only provide crucial infrastructure to support the battle against the lack in provision of specialist mental health care facilities in the South East, but also deliver and maintain 33% of the site as useable landscaped open space for the benefit of the surrounding community. "
A development of this size is likely to involve numerous contractors working on the site, so companies that decide to get involved should also consider the implementation of a solid and reliable workforce management system, and this is exactly where Time & Attendance South West can help.
Whether we’re talking about simple access control solutions or more complex systems, also including extensive Time and Attendance features, Time & Attendance South West has the necessary expertise to provide customers with a complete and comprehensive bespoke solution that will perfectly fit their requirements.
