Plans approved for Bristol trampoline park

Plans to build a new trampoline park in Bristol have been approved by the local authority, a news report in the local business media has found.

Alpha Bounce, which trades as Freedog, opened its first trampoline park in Swindon in July 2015 and is now proposing a second site in Bristol, which will create up to 65 new local jobs.

Along with the trampolines, the 31,000 sq ft unit would feature party rooms, a café and viewing area. A total of 55 car parking spaces would be provided.

According to planning documents, the new facility is expected to employ 45 full-time staff and an additional 20 part-time employees. It is expected that the venue will receive about 60 visitors per hour.

A design and access statement submitted with the plans said: "The proposed external alterations would be in keeping with the character and appearance of the surrounding area, and the scheme would not harm the safeguarding of the other surrounding industrial uses.

"The proposal will create skilled jobs in the area, support the local economy and provide local people with an alternative and enjoyable form of exercise close to the city centre."
