The plans involve building 930 student rooms, a 128-bedroom hotel and more than 245,000 sq ft of teaching and office space on three sites at the Lansdowne campus in Bournemouth.

 

The existing properties on the sites will be demolished and replaced by buildings varying in size between eight and 17 storeys.

 

The Oxford Road building will feature 470 student rooms along with 38,300 sq ft of floor space, suitable for education, office and health centre use. There will also be 123 car and 228 bicycle parking spaces.

 

About 460 student rooms are planned for the Christchurch Road development (pictured), along with 71,400 sq ft of office space, a 128-bedroom hotel and space for 196 cars and 190 bikes. The Holdenhurt Road site will feature 138,000 sq ft of office and teaching space with 120 car parking spaces as well as 45 spaces for bikes.

 

The scheme is expected to accommodate between 834 and 1,577 jobs.
