Retailer reveals plan to take temporary staff for Christmas

A well-known retail chain has revealed plans to open 120 seasonal positions at its stores across the South West for the Christmas period, a news report has been able to suggest.

Marks & Spencer (M&S) has revealed that the seasonal customer assistant roles are available in both clothing and home, and the M&S foodhalls, at stores in Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester and Swindon.

The company is also planning to take on additional visual stylists, switchboard assistants and M&S café chefs.

Sacha Berendji, M&S’s retail director said: "At M&S we put the customer at the heart of everything we do and therefore we’re looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals who want to help us deliver great service for our customers."

Rob Bailey, M&S Bristol store manager, added: "Christmas is our busiest time of year so we’re pleased to be recruiting seasonal colleagues for our stores in Bristol. Our seasonal team are always given a warm welcome and are valued for their contribution."
