Schools helped with truancy using simple PC-based clocking system
A Falmouth mum is in danger of being imprisoned after she allegedly failed to make sure her three children were going to school. An arrest warrant has been issued for Claudia Jane Ward, of Meadowbank Road. The 41-year-old is charged with allowing three of her children to truant between September 4 and December 7 last year, Truro Magistrates’ Court heard last Friday (February 8, 2013). The offence is punishable with imprisonment.
Time and Attendance South West can help schools with truancy and other behavioural problems using WinTA PC Clock, a simple PC-based clocking system. WinTA PC Clock is a cost-effective method of ensuring that your school or business remains compliant with regional and national legislation, without the need for a new time and attendance network. Pupils are simply presented with an input screen on their PC allowing them to register themselves, whereas staff can clock in and out. It contains Time and Attendance features such as holiday and absence planners.
